So pretty much after riding street with scooters riders.
Not that many riders, west coast, mid west, east coast know what REAL street is, street isn't some little spot down the street from your house that you go to when your bored. Street is when you go out and ride street then when you get bored you go ride a park, real street is when you risk getting a ticket, risk having the cops hassle you, risk getting jumped for your gear if your in a bad area, REAL street is what Addy, Eric, and Mckeen ride. Honestly, I think Addy, Eric Ostrom, Mckeen, Steadman and Lil Jon are probably the only legit street riders out there. Not saying there isn't any street scooter riders out there but I think the 5 I listed are the one's that are legit.

This my friends is what some real street looks like, skater build stuff, places that aren't a 3 min ride from your house, this is street.

Now this is coming from me being a skateboarder and hanging out with skaters and going to spots. I think AZ is the next thing to Cali riders because I think Jon, Addy and Alex are the only people out here who ride real street, everyone else goes park hoping. I refuse to shoot park photos unless it something gnarly. So pretty much Tommy is right, get out there and start being legit, don't wear a helmet, do something new! Go ride street, don't be like everyone else.

There are a lot of spots in So Cal, last time I was out there I went to a lot of them I didn't get kicked out once.

Dylan, my respect toward you just shot up like 200%. Which is essentially impossible considering how hard I love your riding.
Either way, I 100% agree with everything said by Tommy.
It's the same riding in every cali video.
If you guys didn't look different, you would be the same people.
You have some of the absolute best street in the entire world, and you guys don't take advantage of it.

I dont care if you wear a helmet, i know some places (like where i live) there's some pretty strict helmet rules like 185$ for not wearing a helmet at a park?? FUCKK THAT but it angers me to see like cali street vids where they are riding those fucking sweet ditches and stuff with knee pads and a helmet on like i really don't think that's necessary

i rode with all these people and its no different than their videos....its like a 15-17 year old dressed in plaid shorts, etnies shoes from pacsun, and a helmet that never comes off basically the fashion of a 13 year old
so many skaters hate scooters in cali and i know why because most of the people just dont get it
its like they make scootering like a pro football team omg omg capron can you sign my scooter tee t-shirt? guess what nobody cares

:(( what about Scooyork?

we ride street more than anyone... Scooters are ALL of our primary forms of transportation. we literally ride EVERYWHERE & everything. we dont ride a spot, hop in a car, and go to another spot. we ride a spot, ride TO the next spot, and then ride that spot.

You rode with them for 4-5 days. I rode with them for an entire month. You didnt see one quarter of the stuff they can do. And im sure everyone is sick of trying to convince you differently because your clearly too ignorant to listen to anyone elses opinion.

The thing is that you are categorizing a specific group of california riders from san clemente and the surrounding areas. I am from southern california. Do I bri flip everything in site. no. Do I enjoy street more than park. yes.

I also have absolutely no idea why wearing helmets are being brought into this argument. They protect what keeps you living and you think that is L4M3Z0000000ooRSsss. I wear a helmet because I was passed out for a day because I hit my head so hard and I don't feel like leaving this world because I think it is lame to wear a helmet.

Don't talk shit until you have actually been to the places you are hating on. Fuck. Videos don't mean shit about the area the rider lives in.

i agree but i dont see a problem. As long as your havin fun. And i would say about 10 cali riders prove you wrong (its gotta be more than 5 hah).
I definately am one of those ten..None of you have seen what i got in store for the next 951 video.
Im taking the biggest risks and baddest falls of all. Im pushing myself to the max..I truly wanna be one of the best street riders in the game right now and im willing to take risks no matter what the staircase is or rail or gap. Just keep an eye out for the 951 teaser, hopefully that will be enough to keep you guys occupied until the dvd is done.
Trust me, my part will have nothing but street and it will be amazing.(i hope haha)
Bottom line im a cali rider here to prove you fools wrong that we got street skillzzz.

jackson then why dont they put out footage of this supposeldy whole other trick vocabulary they have? i mean they have to know pretty much nobody likes their riding so why do they continue to make the same videos over and over again?

There tonssss of kids down here that have the exact same style (which is no style), all wear the same type of clothes, and always wear helmets and knee pads every time they ride...and it pisses me off and makes scooters look even gayer. But the only reason you think thats all Cali is about is because every single one of those kids, have rich mommys and daddys that will buy them cameras. The few legit people around here just dont really film.. Its not like making a video is the #1 priority of everyones life, and if it is thats pretty lame. I don't know what the point of the thread is because its not like its going to stop the videos, and its definetly not going to stop kids from just riding how the like riding.

Thats like asking a kid who has been riding for one week why they put out a video of just tailwhips. If no one likes their riding yet, then why do it? Because they like to show people what they have accomplished, what was a hard trick for them to land and a trick they were proud of. And people do like their riding, your just one of the people that doesn't, so there is absolutely no need to make this big a deal out of it.
