Cannon GL1 vs. GL2 Reviews

I got myself banned.
GL1 has smaller chips than a GL2. GL1s are kinda beat, they'll work for making a dvd or whatever, but i'd go for a GL2, just because it isn't like 10 years old. But if you gonna spend money on a camera, i'd go sony vx or even better go panasonic. (or go HD and get a canon hv30)

For real, the price for GL2's nowadays just isn't worth it. Unless your getting an amazing deal, I'd go HD at this point. HD isn't the future anymore, it's now.

do it. having 24p and 30p is sick. and theres so many ways you can modify the colors and stuff. i dont know if gs50s are the same as 320s the same but i def like it alot better than my gs320

the hv's do look really nice to me, i kinda wanna sell my gs150 and find an hv20 for cheap, but then i would really need a whole new editing setup haha...i can't imagine how fast HD footage would eat up my memory.

well cuz i got some deal for a bunch of shit and gl1 for 800

but i could always wait longer and get something better,

what are the price ranges, and specs of the other cams your talking about vx or even better go panasonic. (or go HD and get a canon hv30)

vx's go from like 8 or 900 for a vx1000 to like in the 2 grand range for there newest model, the vx2100. but you dont want a vx1000, its a really old camera.

if your budget is in the 800 range, get a canon hv20 or hv30. there really nice, have hd, 24p, 30p and lots more features. hv20s are like 600 so you could get like the hv20 then save another hundred and get a baby death

HV30 is a CMOS sensor, not 3ccd, but the colors are still pretty awesome out of it. Shoot 1080P im pretty sure (full HD). You get 24p, 30p, 60i. 30p is realllllly awesome, thats what i shoot with on my DVX. (p stand for progressive, so your not shooting interlaced, the picture is ALOT nicer on the computer, and doesn't need to be de-interlaced on a TV). Its small, so i dunno if thats a plus or minus for you, but it has no handle. The fisheye is cheaper (baby death or the new fisheye century is making specifically for the camera with 43mm threads). I cant think of anything else right now, but read up on it.

yea dylan that footy looks janky as shit. but im gonna blame 80% of the shittyness on youtube. haha i got a GL1 to use in school and its nice but not that nice at all. its better than the gay zr500's they got but its just kinda bland colors and shittt......

i also heard the heads on the GL's are shitty is this true??
