VX1000 IS 10 YEARS FUCKINGG OLD DUDE. Hidef 1080 24/30 progressive footage is in, old trendy skateboard vx1mk1 oversaturated golden tinted colors in 60i playing modest mouse from your old junker Sony is boring now. (no offense to modest mouse). There not making a big deal about this analog to digital switch on TV for nothing, hidef is moving in quick.

HV20-30 is the way to go bro. Just take a trip to BHphoto one day instead of buying it online, since you live in NYC lol.

Ehh i dunno about that. They have a good picture and all, but to me its like the noob camera of the high end 3ccd sd cams. If you use a DVX before a GL2, the GL2 seems so basic and trashy.

John BH is gonna be the cheapest for the camera, unless you find a deal on ebay. BH is like the cheapest legit camera dealer. I'd get a baby death with it, unless you want to wait for the new fisheye. Get tapes, buy in bulk, its cheaper. Make sure you stick to the same brand of tapes. Although its not a big deal with newer cameras, mixing tapes gets the heads dirty causing dropouts and audio glitches... Get a tripod if you don't have one already. A lens cleaning kit. Maybe an extra battery. Bags help alot too.

yea, having a nice camera bag is the shit. backpack ones are the way to go. i always wind up putting my camera bag in my backpack anytime i go anywhere

k, i'd rather wiat and get the best lense i can get, instead of buying one now and buying again later, kinda wasteing it on the first lense, you get me?. Ill check BH next week and see what's up

what would be a reall good lense to get?

Bri should i get it or wait for a better cam, like is this a good camera in your eyes?

I'm not brian, but I'm safe to say, that at this point in the "HD" movement, the HV30 and the new 43mm Century optics lense will suit you better.
