Carbon fiber bars?

i thought about that awhile ago back when i was into extremely light scooters, but heavier stuff feels better to ride and carbon fiber would flex and snap. and its not worth the money. it cost over 150 to make a pair.

if you really wanted to you could but itd only be worth it if you just made some thin aluminum bars and wrapped carbon fiber around it.

but even still you need to vaccuum(sp?) seal it then bake it and its just to much work for something thats gonna break easy anyway

I don't think carbon fiber has flex. Maybe carbon has flex but I am very sure carbon fiber has very little flex which is why many road bikes are made of carbon fiber too.

I've never heard of carbon fiber being welded together though. Not sure how is the Razor carbon fiber stuff. You actually want strength more than lightness. My aluminium bars bent after 1 week of riding.

you cant weld carbon, you just get the 2 tubes put them together and wrap the joint with more carbon fiber and use the resin and vacuum seal it then bake it and take the vacuum bag thing off and there you go

After hours of hard work and research I've come to this conclusion, you should just make a cf toilet:

And I know for a fact that carbon fiber flexes, I've ridden my friends cf tandem bike and it was sketch riding that thing.

i saw how they make it on how it's made.

all carbon fiber is thin sheets of fibers wounded together glued together with many layers then vacumm pressed.
pretty silly material to make a scooter out of.
