chroming bars

iv'e seen a lot of people with bars rawed down, but their like, really silver/chrome and was just wandering the best and cheapest way to do this?

You can polish Aluminum bars to a shiny appearance but all the Steel bars will rust quickly once polished.

Chrome Plating bars- you'll just have to call around in your area to see if anyone can do it and what they'll charge.

ah okay, and one last question, the ones on google didnt really cover this, do i need to put something on top, to make it last? and not rust?

They don't mention anything because Aluminum doesn't rust.


Polish them up- the shine won't last forever so at some point you'll just need to polish them again.

I good chrome finish is all about the preparation. A super smooth base material is essential then many thin layers of nickel so the chrome can bond well. A cheap chrome dip will look ok but will scratch and flake off very easily.
