clearing startup disk space on a mac

hey guys idk if this is the right section or not, but i neeed to know a good way to get startup disk space. i cant import anything from my cam onto imovie, because a liittle notification thing pops up on the screen that says something like "warning your startup disk space is alost full, etc." any help would be extremely appreciated! thanks.

i did lol it says delete files and i deleted everything i could think of

once you deleted the stuff, empty your trash

your startup disc is "macintosh HD" so find any raw footage, or excess, and delete it, then empty the trash. Also go into things like iPhoto, and delete the iPhoto trash, that helps too.
