This is why all you guys should either do what I do and wrap the entire box in duct tape, or buy insurance.

i packaged it fine..
think about what you're saying.. why should i get the shit end of the deal, why do i have to be the person who looses his parts and gets nothing in return

If you shouldn't get the shit end of the deal then why should I have to? That's not fair you could at least send me a fork or something just to make it even...

connor i dont know why you're being so immature about this. There is NOTHING anyone on SR can do to help you with this so whining about it is not going to help. Ive tried calling you before to talk to you but you don't answer.

I was busy I just don't want to get the shit end of the deal. What if I got your parts and you didn't get mine and I didn't give you anything back?

If you still want to be considered legit, I suggest you send the parts back, otherwise it's all in the air, it is not his fault YOUR box DIDN'T get to him safely, but HIS got you just fine. If a company were to say "oh well, you paid us, but our package was damaged in your postal office, we can't give you a refund." Doesn't that sound somewhat of what is going on here? You should lose out for the simple fact of there is nothing he can do that (again) YOUR package was ie, stolen, broken, ripped, etc... But his got you safe and secure.

don't make trades with anyone on SR you're even slightly unsure about, if he's gonna make excuses and won't send it back then there's not a lot you can do. Live and learn.

i would borrow parts from my friends to ride and buy what i needed to ride. or in your case just ask your mom to buy you new forks

i don't understand why everybody is talking shit about Jcott. if there was a received in damaged condition sticker then it is the post offices fault.

the way you worded the original post it sounds like you saw the sticker yourself, if thats the case then this thread is completely unnecessary. if he just told you about the sticker then i see how there is a possibility that he is lying.

There isn't any lying being implied, he's saying that it is not his (Connor's) fault that Jcott's packaged was ruined, therefor he should not be liable and shouldn't be fucked out of not being able to ride, in which case he can't because he now has no fork. So he's asking if Jcott should be liable to send back the parts since it was his package that was ruined, not Connors.

I'm not like rich dude I can't just ask my mom for a fork and she will be like "ok" I have to work for my parts or buy them myself...

im not saying you're rich, im just saying that to me, if your parents buy you any of your parts implies that if you actually need a part they will buy it for you

If you sold something and it doesn't make it to the customer, legally you are responsible for reimbursing that person.

This happened with me and Stackies once, and he gave me the money back minuse what he lost on shipping.

In terms of trading, it is solely dependent on both of you carrying your end of the deal. Since your stuff didn't make it to him, and his did, it is only fair you send his stuff back to him. You are getting the raw end of the deal, but it is probably the most ethical thing to do.

Plus your responses on this thread have made your credibility to trading a lot lower to probably more than just me. Super unprofessional, man. Watch out who you call immature. This situation and this thread shows you both have something to work on.
