Nah I'm staying at home because it's like a 10 minute drive to ASU and dorms are more expensive than tuition haha.

honestly, i think college is a bit overrated, i mean because its so dang expensive you'll be in debt for a large part of your life and its almost just not worth it. i'm not saying college is bad, but still, you don't have to worry about tens of thousands of dollars of debt if you don't go. But I imagine it would be worth it if you could retire comfortably at 65.

i wanna go to the University of Iowa, i practically bleed black and gold anyway :)

if you don't want to be in crazy amounts of debt, go to a state school. some states let you go to state schools for free if you're a resident. other ones tuition isn't that expensive, so its definitely worth it.

personally, im paying out the ass for college, but i also worked hard enough to high school so i earned a scholarship, i'm working while in school, and i have grants and loans. in 2 1/2 years i'll be able to get a job that pays at least 60,000, full benefits, and possibly pay for me to get a masters degree which means even more money.

so theres no reason to complain about school being too expensive. go to community college at least, make something of your life.

goto army, retire at the age of around 44 haha.

i guess that works in australia. going to the army as a career is alot harder in the US. the united states military academy is one of the toughtest colleges to go to in the country, same goes for naval/air force academies.

if you go the way of the national guard, theres a good chance you'll get shipped to iraq. then, good luck not dying. but either way you get a free education (military academies are free/national guard pays at least partly for college), but in the end youre probably going to war since noone has any clue when we're leaving iraq.

but if you live anywhere else, go for it. my uncle was in the navy his whole career, retired at 45 with a full pension and got a job in the private sector when he retired making double the money he did before. hes loaded and not dead, so i guess it can work.

yeah. defence force here kicks ass. you can do some uni course's and they pay you to do them, you just have to do a few years service after the course is complete. same with pretty much any trade, they will teach you what you need to know while paying you and you have to do a certain amount of years service afterwards. im planning on being a multimedia technician or if that doesnt work out, something in public relations or communications. and i still get to do basic soldier training, yeeeeah boy.
