Is it easy to make a ghetto compression system to work with french id forks or would it be better to just buy the fr id compression.

when i 1st got mine the frnch id compression wasent out so i did the seat clamp way

How does that work?

You put a small clamp directly onto the fork. Its ugly and sketchy as hell.

harission the main idea is for the clamp to push down on the pinch ring
clamp tightens almost all the way
smash it down with a mallet
tighten it down
if done right it works well

im not using a compression with my forks, works fine. I'll make a vid of it. only using dub clamp and normal headset parts excluding cap and star nut.

did you find that brass knucles on a scooter with a wooden deck that hangs over the back wheel and the brake has teflon on it?

i am gettin french ids and i was telling my dad about compression. he thinks it is a really good idea.
