Alright i think that it is official. Everyone seems like they would rather have a jam instead of a comp. So i guess we are going to have a jam. But, we should definately have some fun contests to make it interesting.

You guys keep saying "lets hope sbw does it the right way this time, they should do this, they should do that" if you guys really want to have a good comp you have to take it into your own hands. and since sbw isnt gonna let you guys organize the comp, i say we would be much more succesful if we managed to rent out renton outdoor for a day, and have the comp organized, run, and judged by scooter riders.

This is a really good idea. But I dont think that renton outdoor is the best atmosphere and park for a jam/comp. Even if we rent out the park. I may be wrong but i think that we seriously would have a better turnout if we have it at SBW or maybe not SBW. Maybe some other park. I just dont think that Renton Outdoor is the best choice.

We dont know yet. Cant you tell that we are still trying to organize/put this thing together. We will let you know dates and times when it is official.

we should do this at SBW and we dont need to rent anything just show up and whoevers there like skater are gonna have to deal with us

That might not work out because they will get in everyones way and think that they own the whole park.

unless they are nice guys. We would have to make this an actual skatebarn event.

yeah guys...idk. i havent rode renton outdoor but its not the best place. i would and others would much prefer sbw but it would be harder to arrange the judging...or we would just have to deal with the sh*t judging. i mean we are just there to ride with everyone...and just have a big jam....?

Renton outdoor is fine you guys. Me and serjey rode there last week, and at first everyone looks all thug and hardcore but as soon as you do a tailwhip all the thugs want your autograph. That park is mad chill for scooters, and as long as your not retarded and keep an eye on your shit its fine. And your saying the parents are gonna let the little kids come if its at Renton outdoor? Good. all the little kids do is make beginner have 100 kids in it.

Seriously, you guys are acting like Renton outdoor is really bad, when in reality its like any other concrete park.

Alright. We can try to have this at Renton Outdoor. I will be down for that. Since it is a pretty nice park.

But if we do decide to do this then someone needs to talk to the Renton city council and fine how much money it will cost or if it would be ok to rent out the park for a day. Then once we have that done we can start to worry about judging and all of that other stuff.

From what Ive read in the NorCal comp thread, renting out a public park for a day, or half a day, is expensive. But they found a pretty good way around it, they charged an entry fee like there would be if we were at SBW, but its a bit cheaper then that, and all that money goes towards renting out the park. As far as prizes go, meh, idc really. I think its more about just riding with new people then winning, but we can worry about that later.

ok austin you wanna pay to rent it out?..its not like its gonna cost 20 bucks...you have to go to the cicty hall and talk to the city and everything to rent it...and that park isnt even all that great...if we are gonna do it at an outdoor park might as well do it at woodinville..cuz therer haas been skate comps there...but let jimmy anounce whats going on first

i thought we had the park narrowed down to SBW ....im not driving 6 hrs to go to a crete park when theres one 20 mins away from my house

I didnt say i was. I said everyone should chip in. do the math. If 30 or 40 people showed up, and everyone paid 10 bucks, thats 300-400 dollars right there.
