Crown race help

I just got vertex smx forks and can't tell if the crown race is on all the way

look at some pics of scoots with smx and see if thats what yours looks like.

Should it touch the Top of the forktube

Just smack it with a headtube that doesn't have cups installed until it won't go down any further.
