cutting bars

Does anyone have any tips or methods for cuting straight. i want to cut down my wees? sorryits abit noobish

stick your bars in a vice and use a hacksaw. take your time, make sure your measurements are correct. if your cuts are a little uneven, use a metal file to make them straight.

I own SR.
None of you even answered his question. If you want a straight cut you can either use a pipe cutter which will take awhile cutting through chromoly but it will work OR you can get a saw guide for a hacksaw. If you cut them with a hacksaw freehand you are almost guaranteed to cut them a little off but if you get a saw guide it will keep the blade straight. You can probably get both at Home Depot. Just tell them what you are doing and they can tell you what to get.

But yea, as long as you keep the blade straight, then it's going to be fine.
The bar must be able to stand up on its own on the ground by itself if it's cut straight.

Yeah I have one of those, but the one I have is meant for copper so using it on steel and such messes up the blade really badly.
