cutting down wee bars

Will a standard hacksaw do it and how long will it take about. And how would i cut a wide slit up the stem so the clamp goes over and tightens?

Yes, a normal hacksaw will work.
Measure How long the slits are now. When you cut off the peice of unwanted steer tube, saw two slits up the bars that are parralel (sp?) to each other and are the same length as your old slits, then clamp as normal.

It took me about 10 minutes of continuous hacking to trim my chromoly bars, so I dont know how long thick steel could take.

Just make sure that you make a straight cut.

Ya i just cut down my wees and me and mike had a really big problem when he cut sideways and we had to re do it...
like mike said just take your time
