what do u mean cut down, i have a grinder. like put the side of the bar up against the grinder on the slit?

I have Torn Scooters bars professionally machined when they're manufactured, but if I cut those slits off, to cut new ones I use a chop saw.

If you have pipe cutters that would probably work better but if you only have a hack saw thats alright too, just make sure you file down the jagged parts with a file afterwards.
