Daniel Gutendorff Appreciation Thread

As I'm sure most of you have heard, a fellow rider, Dan Gutendorff, took his own life recently.
I remember watching him so much when I first started riding, he was a true inspiration of mine. So sad to see him go.

This news surprised the hell out of me. Its always terrible to see a rider pass on, especially in this way. prayers go out to his family and loved ones, ride in peace Dan.

I read about it on Inside, his videos from awhile back, before I started riding or even knew that scootering was an actual sport, are rad as hell.

R.I.P.

R.I.P. It's really a shame. His family should of made a point to bring him to parks, even though his back problem. Just so he could hang out. It truly sucks. The scootering world will miss you.

This shit puts a hole in my heart:( I never heard of Daniel until now but I wish I would have, depression is a hard thing to overcome and without scootering it would have been nearly impossible so I really feel for Dan and his backproblems. I wish he would have stayed active with SR maybe we would have known and this could have been avoided. I cannot stand to hear that somebody took their own life, IF ANYONE IS DEPRESSED AND HAS TO TALK TO SOMEBODY IM ALWAYS WILLING TO HEAR YOU'RE THOUGHTS AND HELP YOU THREW YOU'RE HARDEST TIMES SO ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME EITHER THREW MY FACEBOOK, PRIVATE MESSAGE, OR MY EMAIL
mhohmann1@gmail.com BECAUSE NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE IM ALWAYS WILLING TO TALK. I am going to ride hard for Daniel today, R.I.P. you will be missed.

I never knew him but the fact that he was involved with the community and the sport hit me really hard when I read the Inside post. I didn't know much about him but hopefully he got what he wanted. It's always very sad to hear stuff like this.

I loved this guy's riding, it's really sad he passed away.

Fellow scooter riders, please be friendly with each other. I believe sometimes we all have that kind of thoughts, and it doesn't depend on how wealthy you are, how many friends you have, etc. It's a sad part of human nature; and it is easier to overcome difficulties knowing that you are a part of something big.
