defective FrenchID forks

^ nice.

french id forks are 2 pieces of metal press fitted together with some sort of adhesive. its been said plenty of times.

The forktube is pressfitted and glued in to the forklegs. Thats why harder riders should get a metal insert to make shure it stays put. If you dont than this can happen yeah.

Drill a hole through the fork 5-10mm under the headset crown race.
Tap a thread in it.
Put a bolt in it (sunken or normal bolt, doesnt matter)

Its not uncommon to use adhesive to join metals... what makes you think its not glue? Theres no welds on the thing and im pretty sure its been said before that it is held together by adhesive. You guy are thinking that they used Elmer's to glue it togeather. Metal adhesives are some wild shitt. You could probably rip your skin off with the stuff.

how did you get a one piece frenc id fork???
also if you have an old version of a fork will french id replace it?

That sucks dude, i hope you can get it fixed. I would be so mad if i wasted 80 bucks and it broke and couldnt get it fixed.

read the thread it is a cnc d fork but the forktube is pressed and glued together
