Hi,

Today I'm getting District AL3 bars
I'm running Proto SCS compression and I was just wondering if I need to take the starnut out cuz I need to cut the slit off for my SCS

If I have to take the starnut out, any tips how to and also any tips on how to cut the bars in a good straight line??

Well, if you can buy the bars without the slit you'll be fine and i'm almost 99.99% positive the starnut can be anywhere inside the bars and you'll be fine with SCS,
and for the straight cutting use a pipe cutter of some sort.

if you have to you could just push the starnut further up your bars to get it out of the way

how do u push the starnut further up??

And could you pull it out?

It is pretty hard to pull it out, but it can be done if you pry all of the flanges. Just take a socket, put it on the starnut and give it onoe or two good hits with a hammer. It will go further in the bars and you can cut your bars. You will never even know it is there.

or you can take a flat head screw driver and hit all the flanges until they break off and fall out......thats what i did
