Put them into the worst section of the jail; and then the guards pretty much tell the in-mates what they did, and give them to them for the first few nights. Very few have survived past a week of the soviet life sentence.

that part didn't bother me either, what bothered me though is when you look at the context, that they're torturing and killing basically innocent people who they didn't even know, who were incapacitated in some way - like stealing candy from a baby, except much, much worse. You have to be very seriously fucked in the head to even think about doing stuff like that, let alone doing it, 21 times like they did. People are fucked.
