Hi guys.

Was just showing someone the welds on one of the old version MGPs that snapped. He reckon there welds are crap?

What do you think?

I know that one of the batches had a bad heat treating process. So maybe the one in the picture i showed him was one of the ones that was in the bad batch... Not sure.

Thanks.

Mine look fine, other than at the back of the neck some welds are bigger than others, resulting in an uneven looking downtube but other than that you wouldn't know. Easily razor quality...

uhh dont forget nitro, we're a bunch of scooter kids, so i guess there's not much point in this thread, but anyway i reckon they look fine, imean there's no holes in them or anything, and theres barely been any of them snapped.

It wasn't the welds that were the problem, it was the placement of the welds. The rails were really thick which made it virtually impossible to break, they were 7mm thick on each side. The part where the headtube met the deck was also really strong. That meant almost all of the force from riding went straight to the headtube welds. The welds were fine, but the placement wasn't.

ya other parts of the deck are to good that there never gonna break so it just makes the welds a week spot
