wtf? I do them down stairs and they are still called downside whips to fakie ! THe trick's name oes not depend on the obstacle (unless it is a grind: when we grind a rail , we use "boardslide", whereas on a ledge it is feeble or smith...)

And yes, they are quite easy, simple keep the deck right under you and pay equal attention on both spinning and whipping

reason why bikers dont call them downside if its not in a quarter is because thats what a true downside whip is.

downside whip (technically) - tailwhip AIR when the whip is whipped toward the ground (down).

cause if youre doing a tailwhip air normally the whip whips toward the sky. and if you do a down side whip in any way other than in an air, technically youre not whipping it down. youd be whipping it to the right/left
