If you ride a scooter, you cant worry about your paintjob getting messed up. that just takes away the fun.

put your deck on the coping so only about 3 inches of your deck is on the qp. dont put your deck to far back. just about have about 1/2-3/4 of your deck over the coping. and just put your foot on and lean forward. depending on how far your coping sticks out it probably wont hit. most of the time if you just lean foward to the point where it hits the ramp you should be fine.

well, the coping is pretty big, like 2.5 or 3 inches diameter. thats why i dont want to drop in there. and when i say eat my paintjob, i meant my face once hit my bars and i got wet paint all over me...
i guess tomorrow ill go listen to some hardcore music and get all ticked off and drink a monster so i have the balls to do it.

Don't do footplant dropins because you lose a lot of speed that way. just go at a 45 degree angle to the ramp and lift your front wheel a bit then drop it over the edge and lean forward and lift your back wheel at the same time. Dropins kinda feel wierd at first, but once you get the hang of them then they become pretty much an instinct..

he is dropping in for the first time.. why the fuck does he need to worry about how much speed he gunna get??

Lmao at Coreyfield. I love dropping in with 1 foot on coping. It looks sketchy and probably slows you down but its fun and easy. No need to think. Just go for it and have fun.

Recently , I did those manual and drop in / jump in. Its quite fun too but when QPs are big , I feel i'm going to fall back.

parker dude, drop ins are something u really just have to go for, its not hard its just something that gets in your head if the qp is big and u think u cant do it. How i started was put one foot on the coping and the other on the deck then just basically like step into the ramp and keep the other foot still off the scooter. Then once u got that, start putting your foot on

acctually, stepping in gets you more speed than the deck half way over thing..because you can really control where you land on the quarter and it is just a lot smoother..i like the foot thing and what someone said the 45 degree angle and kind of hopping in with the front and tipping the back end up..almost bunnyhopping in except you dont really go up at all haha

just commit, dont be scared becuase even if you do clip the coping if you are commiting you wont fall, at least not most of the time. seriously its really hard (for me at least?) to go over the bars dropping in, always has been too. before you know it youll be casually riding up and barspining and shit into the quarters<3
