Most of this is from a while back, some filler stuff that wasn't really needed but I usually don't film so I used what I had.

Enjoy:

gnar, how do you do cloning?

Alright well first, you need to have an editing program that does "masking". Sony Vegas 7.0 is what I use. You will need to know how to mask and become comforatable with it. (there are many tutorials online.)

Second, your shot needs to be "still camera" and its very important that you dont move the camera while filming.

Once you have your shots and know how to mask you will most likely be able to figure it out. But ill tell you how to do it:

1. Import the clips into Vegas.

2. Create several different "tracks" or "layers", placing a different clip on each one.

3. The clip on the very bottom can be left as is. But on the rest you need to mask out the object you want to be cloned.

4. When masking out your objects, it doesn't need to be perfect! A rough outline is all you need. But make sure the mask of one object does not interfere with the other(s). Masking the objects makes them apear to be on one clip.

If you know how to mask, then it should be fairly simple. View tutorials online and good luck!
