Well around here everyone says Gauges who has them, and tapers and plugs but in general everyone's like "Yeah i just stretched my gauges to 1/2" inch." and stuff.

You need to go to Borgego Springs in So Cal if you want star trails. Pitch black crystal clear desert skies.

It's possible but it would be an all day ride probably 100 miles out there one way and you'd need like 5 gallons of water. It is like straight up desert but it's awesome. There is a skatepark out there and there is also an abandoned pool out at the salton sea that I was thinking about taking everyone too so we might drive through there.

You would love the Salton Sea... it is a good photo opp. It is basically a ghost town from the 1940's and there are actually a few empty pools out there but the pool we rode last year is at Pala which is a lot closer.

even though it was pouring all of tonight and even though i tried to take a turn going like 40mph on my roadbike and completely wiped out because of the rain it was a productive night of photo taking

theyre pretty rare around here i was originally taking pictures of this real tiny one and i look over and that way bigger one was a little bit to the right so i went and grabbed my flashes and tripod and stuff and bounced 2 flashes off my porch ceiling it was conveniently white

La Jolla cove has probably the clearest water around here but you'll need a wet suit probably full suit for that time of year. There is some decent stuff there though cause it is a protected wildlife refuge. Do you have an underwater housing?

i just tried on my wetsuit the other day and i grew out of it : ( and no i dont have a underwater housing for digital slrs they are ridiculously expensive
