this happened to me with one i got from sky high, the bearing slot contracted and fit the bearing perfectly after a while.

I said I know that....
The point I'm trying to prove is, we shouldn't have to tape our bearings. For the price I paid for this wheel, I don't expect it to come the way it did.
Word.
Haha. They are .001 mm bigger i belive. After a while the click will go away. and steve, get frid wheels. they wont ovalize or chunk, and they arent eagles so its a win win win for you.

Sometimes my Eagles let the bearings fall out, sometimes they don't. And I honestly don't care. My Eagles are rad anyway.

I´m not really allowed to tell about Eagle Wheels, but it seems there are confusions here.
Kyle, If you think your wheel is ovalized then call c4, tell the problem that you think there is and get a replacement.

What isnt absolutly true is that a bearingsleeve is ovalized, thats impossible on a cnc machine (lathe). What we did, because most out there had a problem with putting in bearings in a metal core was giving the bearingsleeve a slightly bigger tollerance (indeed 0,01/0,02mm).
BUT when the bearingspacer arnt the right size, you can get problems (WITH ANY ALU WHEELS !). THe wheels are 24mm width the bearings are 7mm each (24 minus 14mm = 10mm), so the spacer needs to be 10,1mm, when smaller or bigger then you got a problem. THIS is not for plastic cores wheels because plastic is softer and can be sqeezed when needed..

ANYHOW when you feel you have a problem, call your retailer and ask for replacement OR advice, think thats same with every brand out there.

Ps. we changed back our bearingsleeve fitting, just for the reason that is accure now.

Hope I dont get banned now

A) did you get them replaced? If you would have asked then he would have given you a replacement.

yes marcel makes frid wheels but its a diff core and diff urethane a belive so it isnt the same. they are really good though

rofl.

The urethane and the core are the exact same thing as normal eagle wheels. The difference is the logo and the fact that they machined a design in the core and had the FrenchID logo put on there aswell.

The only problem ive ever had from my eagles were chunking.. So i agree with blaine on that, but they seriously do not suck. They are very fast and last pretty well. Ive had a pair of the first protos and also a new pair. The first ones were great besides the fact that they fell off the core.. :( The new ones have so far last me very well and have barely worn at all and have no sign of a chunk in them at all. Its all depending on the rider and how they ride, whatever happens to the wheel with them using it, people will make their own decision on them.

i chunked my spoked eagle today that i got two days ago that was barely worn down-10 minutes of riding flat with it on the front, but it might have been a prototype because it was hep greg's

but 10 minutes that all it lasted me!
