Not sure where to put this and you youngins are probably way more hip to scams than the adults :0 but always good to remind ourselves how good the scammers are and pass it on to your parents.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You need to do some serious research BEFORE making payments. I've seen plenty of scams on ebay over the years. Always make sure you're on eBay when you pay. Don't ever pay through a different site or your money can be dicked with.

Lol, yeah. eBay is such a terrible site because some short-sighted people don't know how to spot an obvious scam. I don't care what he said in that article, any normal eBay user never would have fallen for that. As soon as you're taken to an outide site that only accepts payment through Western Union and other "money gram" sites it should immediately throw up a red flag. Even craigslist has blatant warnings against any transactions through those sites, they are ALL scams. As long as you use Paypal, you will never get scammed. And if you do, all you have to do is file a claim and get your money back. It's a foolproof system. Also, like Joe was saying, eBay does have some awesome deals, but if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
