It is a different to an SCS, this clamp still uses Slotted bars. The bars still go over the top of the thread, thus still keeping the strength. The real only differance it that the clamp has a sized 10mm thread in the first stage. This winds down, cant be overtightened
But this is in no way meant to be a replacement for an SCS system.
It gives a better choice for the rider that sticks with threaded forks.
Also works with much stronger forks, Dominators etc
But everyone has there own opinion
Keep a look out cause 81 are releasing a Compression clamp in January
as a scooter rider from the uk i support uk based companies but
I think threaded is beginning to be ruled out to be honest even some completes are coming with thread-less forks its like pivotal seats came around in bmx who uses railed seats now ? and a product like this is not going to make people run threaded if they did not in the first place ( already narrowing the costumer base ), im not disrespecting you or the company but this is a scooter forum made up of the scootering public these are the people who you want the opinion of and id say probably 85 to 90 % of the community that are serious about scootin and have been at it for a long time run thread-less anyway.
looking forward to seeing the compression clamp though
