If a grant means the guy owns 49% of elyts then yeah, Zig got a grant. And Colton, what ideas is Madd Gear progressing except the idea that scootering is a bunch of 12 year olds with tight shirts, tight pants, and moonboots? That is the only idea I see them progressing.
I get what youre saying man. I meant they're progressing the scooter industry in terms of strength and part design. Not the image of scootering.... They're kinda not doin that much good

They are not progressing part design either Colton, their parts have barely any thought go into them, they are made purely to look nice and be cheap. They make parts designed to get people to buy them, not to be strong.

not to be negative or anything but i see scooting becoming roller blading
i honestly see no progress from when razor had plastic decks except visually and strength wise plastic to metal, regular shoes to scooter shoes
but then again

Someone will ALWAYS have a hatred for MGP. But that's not what this thread is about, back on topic...

Thin shoes > everything else. Some of the riders are chill as ----- but I don't support the company.

Like tom said, moon boots are shit.

I love thin shoes aswell, but not when i am riding like big drops or stuff like that. idk, i'll support them until i have a reason not too.

Making a scooter shoe company is the equivalent of making scooter specific headsets or scooter specific griptape...theres no point whatsoever

There is no point, but I feel as though those companies are making them because they want like a "Complete" made of just there parts. (i.e Blunt,District)

I have no problem with a scooter company making a headset, or making griptape. But it isn't designed for a scooter, its just made by a scooter company, theres a big difference there. Blunt, district, and Frid aren't going around telling people why their headsets are better for scootering, and making a headset that was "better for scootering" is stupid in the first place, because bike ones work perfectly fine. Same principles go with shoes.

I see your point, in most cases BMX headsets work better considering THEY were the ones who perfected everything about them. and griptape, It's just griptape.

not exactly, shoes wear and tear in different areas when riding a scooter compared to a bike or skateboard.

They are just skate shoes with extra padding... Which is nice for scootering because landing on your brake/bailing puts more stress on your ankles and soles than skate/bmx
