Engine Blew a Piston

I have a 2010 49cc Keeway Hurricane. I had the Top End and Carburetor replaced in June. After 1,000 miles, it blew a piston. The installation combined a Hoca 47mm Big Bore Cylinder Kit with a 50cc 2-stroke Minarelli Carburetor (47mm), which someone advised me was the cause of my problem. I was told that it should have a 40mm kit.

Can anyone verify or refute that this was an improper installation?
