obviously i believe in evolution and i still can't understand how people can say it isn't true. but that doesn't mean science wins over god. in my opinion theres no reason science and god have to be 2 different sides. in my opinion, god had some hand in creating the universe, and that created everything that exists today, which eventually led to life and evolution and where we are now. that way everyone wins. sweet.

science not quite. i agree that it is a fact is used for the analysis etc of situations cause its a fact at the time. but in one thousand/hundred years perhaps some of the facts we use now will be viewed as bull shit. just like the ones from a thousand/hundred years ago to today. eg atomic structure.

evolution isnt 100% fact. its a part theory. there is alot of evidence but its still just a theory. like most of stuff we are taught in schools are theories so in ten years from now its guaranteed to have some topics that will be proven wrong.

Alot of the time we dont even care to know anything about shit people say we just believe it. So actually be a smart person and read all aspects and think on it if your really going to argue about it.

I dont believe that one species can evolve into another.
I do believe that creatures adapt to their environment, but not as drasticly as evolution portrays it.
I dont believe that the universe exploded into existence, it had to have been made.

neither side has been proven wrong, so you might as well learn both aspects of it.

my one friend is really religious and he doesnt believe in evolution at all. he says "if evolution is real then why arent monkeys evolving now?" i always tell him that the only reason we did evolve is for a reason (climate, terrain, food, etc.) he still says b/s. like he thinks that if we evolved once hat were going to keep doing it, he doesnt understand that we evolved for a purpose to keep our species alive. like i bet if we didnt evolve humans would have been gone long ago. i believe we need to evolve/adapt to the world around us in order to keep going. so say global warming happens and everything floods over the centuries humans will evolve/adapt to a form that suits us to love off our surroundings.

well first, just to clear something up, species don't evolve out of need. its the law of natural selection. evolution is random, if it works and is a positive thing for the species, then it will thrive. if its negative, the species will die out.

will we keep evolving? according to the theory, yes, but i don't see it happening like that. right now, the things scientists are doing with genetics are fucking scary. seriously, scary. in the near future geneticists will be playing god. imagine a day when you'll be able to pick if you want your child to be a boy or a girl and the color of their eyes/hair. its like you're going to store and buying what model of child you want. genes will be "edtited" so people have better strength and physical features. of course it has good ramifications: making people less susceptible to heary disease and cancer. but still, i want nothing to do with that. when people start playing god, i see bad things happening.

also, john's right. you should never try and force your beliefs on someone. make a valid point and try to explain them if you want, but its never right to try and make someone believe anything. as much as i COMPLETELY disagree with what john thinks, its his right to believe that so nobody should give him or anyone else shit about it.

i personally believe in the theory of evolution but maybe you people can combine the two theories. that there is a "god" but not exactly how we see it. he did create but in the sense that he just made everything exist. he created the universe but he also created the universe so that everything would follow its own path and evolve as it needs. it is basically evolution but instead of saying that the universe came out of nowhere that something created it, oh well.
