That isn't even what happened. I tried to whip, went off axis somehow, and awkwardly stuck my arms out to break my fall and this happened.

When I went to jump, I went off axis.

I wasn't able to put my hand out quickly enough, and I landed with my right hand upside down, and it dragged along the cement with most of my weight going onto my thumb
