Family

So tonight I heard my parents arguing. My dad was saying that he doesn't get enough respect from me and my brothers, while my mom was telling him that he's an asshat and doesn't respect us at all in the first place.

My dad later approached me and my brothers, and asked us to compile a list of all the things we are happy with, unhappy with, and what we could change to make our family "better." I really don't like the direction this is going, and I don't feel like my list is going to be all too accurate. I can only think of negatives, no positives. Has anyone ever been in a situation like this before? How'd you work it out with your parents?

i think you should be talking to someone else than sr. but i had this question come up and all i could think of was for my parents to somehow undo their divorce, but that was long ago

Eh, I figured talking to other people roughly my age would be the best, and I'd rather not get a counselor or anyone involved yet until I have to. I surely don't wanna try to bring this to Reddit or 4chan or something.

I don't get along with my immediate family at all, I just ignore them whenever possible. Thats how I deal with it.

Talk to a free counsellor. It'll be the best decision you'll ever make.

They're everywhere, pretty much any institution you're involved in (Sport, School, College) will have one.

Dude, most families go through stuff like this, I know my parents have flipped serious shit many many times, and I mean SERIOUS ----- and it's all good now. Everything takes time to get worked out. Just ignore the list thing and be cool man. Everybody be cool.
