haha, i did the same
windex is not flammable, and if the bearings are in the liqiud they wont spark or catch fire to my knowledgePete Pachota said:Lol dont put any metal in the microwave... Some time ago I've put in some youghurt thing in the microwave and didnt quite remove all of the metal cover and it went in flames. So if you put bearings, and even some flamable liquid its even worse...
The sparking is not what breaks the microwaves... metal does not absorb them and they get deflected back into the microwave motors and frys them.Pete Pachota said:Lol dont put any metal in the microwave... I completely forgot about this thread... But back on topic.JoshToy said:Once again, just because it never happened to you yet, doesn't mean it won't in the future. It's flammable material, what part of that do you not understand?
Super Duper Windex Supreme.... Or um, just plain Windex, the same exact product you have at home, I just get the shit in bulk that's also in larger bottles... I honestly don't see the point in even cleaning it with Windex in the first place, considering it's a water based product which can most likely rust your bearings within a week.Brian Boston said:what the hell kind of windex is that!! mines like a flat bottle and dosnt say anything about it being flammable on it
After you do it, so much dirt comes out of your bearings, i dont know why but it does. If you ever had a skate wheel and the bearing would come how, if you spray windex on it, it will pop right out and i dont know why. It has some chemical in it that gets rid of dirt and grime in it i guess, i just know it cleans the bearings out great and makes them smell good.the_SD_local said:It really doesn't matter if it is flammable or not the fact is you do not need to put bearings in the microwave... What the hell is that supposed to do???
First off, your bearings have no purpose on smelling good. Second off, WD-40 would clean just as well, if not, better than Windex in the microwave. "More dirt coming off" is all in your head, the same ammount would come out using any type of cleaner/lubricant for bearings. But as Andrew stated, it's still metal in the microwave. Whether it's covered by Windex or not, it is still dangerous. Are you really that dumb and thick headed not to get that?!?! C'mon Brian, I know you have some sense, use it. If you want to feel reassured, e-mail Johnson and Son yourself and ask if your technique of bearing cleaning is safe. if you don't want to, I will just to prove our points that it is unsafe.the_SD_local said:It really doesn't matter if it is flammable or not the fact is you do not need to put bearings in the microwave... I do have some sence, and i know it works, it cleans the dirt out of the bearings! Keep telling me im wrong but it works and nothings happend to my microwave. It gets the job done alot quick then letting them soak in alcohal all night. I dont care if you disagre or anything but please stop arguing with me about that it dosnt work when you havent even tried it yourself.Brian Boston said:First off, your bearings have no purpose on smelling good.
