Fastest wheels/metalcores

Just wondering if eagles are still considered the fastest metal cores out there. im not the hugest fan of eagles because of how fast they tend to chunk, but i want the fastest possible wheels.

Fastest wheels: phantoms, hep greg 125s, or the phase two razor wheels.
Best wheels: nobody really knows.

Fastest in what way?

Chunking? Rolling? Dehubbing?

To clarify I'm talking about fast in terms of speed of travel. I used to have Eagles for my hill bomber and they were ridonculously fast until they got chunked as ----- rather quickly. It now has fuzion wheels which are very noticeably slower.

VertX wheels are AMAZINGLY fast. I have the 1st generation of the PU and it is perfect. super fast and durable. I don't know why people complain. They are grippy aswell.
The new generations could only really get better in my eyes.

Something people need to get through their head is bearings. Bearings effect the speed just as much (if not more) than the hardness of wheels.

yeah i know my bearings are not the problem at all. theyre quite nice and i clean them regularly. Ill probly take your words for it and cop some Vertx mags or something

Scott thats not really true.
They may make a small contribution to going slower, but mainly they affect how smooth your ride is, I have ridden a skateboard with bones swiss ceramics, and then a skateboard with random shitty bearings, and they where both the same. Oh yeah, for bombing hills, go for sliders or twizzlers.

I have epic quakes right now and they go pretty fast. But for me I think Proto Sliders go fast and they are my favorite wheel. I would recommend them.
But some of it has to do with bearings

It still makes a difference though. I went from abec 7 FKD's to abec 7 Shake Junts in the same exact wheels, and I go way faster than Im used to now. My friend has the same wheels as me, but different bearings, and theyre slow as hell.

Anyway, the general rule of thumb is harder wheels are faster, softer wheels are smoother. Find a happy medium that you like.

As long as your wheel can smoothly spin around 2-3 times bearings are not the problem. Bearings don't make you go faster or slower, it just makes your ride smoother.

Yeah, its like, if you have shitty bearings, they will make you go slower. But having really good bearings doesn't make you go any faster. Its like having a good scooter, to an extent, it will help, having a shitty scooter will make it harder to ride, but its not like you can buy a really good scooter and be good at scootering automatically.

ive found that good bearing help a lot, personally. but that could just be me. anyways, back to fast wheels plaz. i have sliders on my park scooter, still definitely not the fastest wheels though, although theyre my personal all time favorite wheels
