firewire

I have a sony minidv handycam. neither of my two computers nor my laptop have firewire, and i don't wanna get a different camcorder. i google'd and saw that you can get adapters or wires that are firewire-to-usb, if i bought one of those would it work?

i dont think so. i hav the same prob but a guy at radio shack says it doesnt work

but dont trust me i hav never tryed it. sell your cam and buy another. thats what i had to do

Firewire to USB is no good. USBs data transfer rate doesn't stay constant, firewires does. You can't stream video over USB because of it, your video would be choppy as fuck.

or... you could buy a firewire card to plug into ur computer..

i have a laptop and my camcorder fire wire wont plug in either...
