First competition - Street

Hey guys, this Sunday I have my first ever competition, and its at a park but I street based.

Most people around here don't ride street but I do, I know most of them with just throw tricks off ledges, and thats it. I'm especially expecting bri whores...

The section just has a manny pad, ledges, rails and a bank.

I'm not asking for a trick list or anything, but how can I make myself stand out?
I'm good on rails and ledges.

Yeah, Overcrooks are always a crowd pleaser. Fs and Bs will definitely get you noticed. Just try and mix it up. Tricks into manuals always impress me.

show you can do stuff bs and fs and say you were gonna do something and whip out after do it again but heelwhip out so show you can do things both ways and lots of manuals are awesome and be creative

make sure you have consistent solid and smooth runs, as well as long grinds along the quarter pipes like board slide the coping 4 like 5 metres. If your good on street, stay in the areas which is kinda like street, but not the whole time. and have fun!!!!

The whole competition is just in the street section, banks, ledges and rails as posted.

I can only do ledges backside and frontside not rails, but I plan to show I'm consistent but I'm worried the judges aren't going to be worried about that, they're all used to that flippy-whippy bri shit..

Any videos for overcrooks? I think if I get them down I'd have a good chance, I have only tomorrow to get them though. And my run consistent..

Also, worried about the park not being my local, hm :/

Sorry to rant guys hahaha!

Try and get there to practice but if not don't stress you ride better when you aren't stressing and are chilled out, it increases your style.

Use the ENTIRE park. Throw tricks on everything, even if its just a bar or whip. Do fs and bs stuff, and do some hang 5 whip outs. Those always impress people

work on a bunch of tricks that nobody really does.... and if you are one of the only ones that rides street looks like your pretty lucky
just work on your own individual style and like i said try tricks that nobody does and judges aren't just looking at how good of tricks you can do they look at:
Tricks
Style
Consistency
Which most park riders don't have

do what you are best at but dont change what you do for the judges since then it wont be your style and just be super consistent since i did a comp once and won it doing pretty easy stuff since the other riders trying flippy whippy poo wernt landing anything i reckon the park riders doing flippy whippy stuff will try and land one amazing trick and probably not end up getting it whilst you are being consistent and clean that is what happened with me

Hit every ramp. Do a lot of different tricks. Repeat tricks in your second run to show consistency. Use the park to your advantage, never ride from one side of the park to the other without touching a ramp. Flow, don't do a trick then run to a different spot to do something else. Don't do anything that you aren't 100% sure you'll land. Do a lot of spins. Use the park to your advantage, judges love to see that. Wallrides, gaps, transfers, etc.. Judges love that stuff.

And this is all coming from experience, I've judged one comp and placed in three.
