Mat Thom made a Fixed Gear Bike. He hand built the frame. He's also made a High Wheeler. You know those old old bikes that have a 4 foot tall front wheel that is also a fixed gear bike. The cranks bolt directly on to the front axle. Its nuts. I think Mat and I will make a little video sometime showing off our bikes and other cool stuff in the shop!

get more variaty barspins r WAY overrated... learn sum keos n stuff and get risers not flat bars the trackstanding flat land stuff was sick tho

Bars are an opinion foolio. Risers and flat bars, both are used quite a bit.

Btw... Keos are WAY overrated. There good for transitions and thats about it.

ya but i jus used keos as an example, my main point i wanted to get across was he should get alittle more variaty

i can understand the appeal of a fixed for commuting, but seeing people do shit like this, i cant help but laugh

I saw a fixed gear trick movie yesterday (the Revival) and it was kinda sub par. Tricks were alright, but the filming was kinda shit even though they had a boom and stuff. I think they might have been trying to do a cool, hip sorta filming, but having only a bit of the bars and front wheel in the shot for a good 20 seconds isn't my thing.

I went to the premiere in San Jose a while ago. If I remember correctly.. it was Canada's response to Mash. It had the same sort of feel and it definitely felt forced upon (the soft music, the slomo, etc.) The tricks weren't anything new, but they weer clean. I dont think that was the direction of the film though. It seemed like it was a 'feel good' movie.

I enjoyed it.

I liked it better than the other movie they premiered that night, London to Paris

I saw London to Paris as well, it was pretty much only worth watching for Super Ted. A few people in the room weren't too happy when they said that they were the only ones to have ever done such a ride, while we did like 30 miles less and probably a hell of a lot faster.
