Flex Fender Help

I have a home made flex fender... I have been using it for about a week and today i did a 180 pivot thing, and it broke! I hate riding brakeless, so i don't no what to do? Should I buy a flex fender from a company like phoenix or just put on my MGP brake and sacrifice much needed dialedness? What should I do? Do flex fenders normally break?

Make a homemade. Right this time. Ot wouldn't have broke in a week if you used 1" wide 1/8" thick steel...

lol i made my flexxy out of the bottom of a razor pro. i was kinda expecting that it would brake. but for the time it was alive, it was pretty good!

Or just take about 20 minutes tops and make a legit flex fender out of, 1/8 thick steel like Ben said. I have made plenty of them for kids at my park and none of them have broke. Just take some time this weekend and make a legit one man.
