doesnt fit into scooter forks. i have one.
If you had really thin wall forks it might fit.
And for those who are saying it's not long enough, you can buy a bolt at the hardware store.

Just thought it'd be a cool idea, whatever though.

thin forks are bad.
But it reinforces them a bit ;)
But yeah. You could always just grind down the wedge parts to fit thicker forks, and cut slits (not deep) with a hacksaw for grip.

it would be easier to just use a starnut

it would be good some thing that wedged in to the bars and get a rod from the fork to tighten it liek the compressino bolt.. sorta liek over sized barrend

Me and my friend did that before, I cut a pro model fork tube at an angle, and put a washer in the bottom of the fork. A bolt ran through the washer, into a wedge at the top of the fork tube. When you tightened the bolt, the wedge tightened onto the inside of the bars. No need for a clamp.

That's where I got the idea, from my wedge seat post on my bike. I used the same bolt and wedge.

bolt but i hevent got around to trying it
+ it would be hard to get a really skinny long bolt

I've already done it, if you didn't read my post.

You could make something like this out of bar-ends (certain plugs use the same design). Would kick a starnut's arse but still not amazing. Just thread forks (internally not externally) and use a topcap
