freezing headset

The grease freezes, it causes your headset to spin slower because chunks of grease get caught in the bearings so they don't spin as fast. And alot of times it squeaks haha.

Whoa whoa, do not oil it, grease it.
Use anything they use on bikes, like Triflow, or Phil Wood.

dude oiling is fine. I been riding this thick oil (whatever that stuff is. the stuff from the steeple shaped cans that you have to click) for about a year now (having to clean my headset every few months then use it again) and its great. Spins fast and smooth and never slows down in the winter

its also because things expand when they heat up so like in the summer the bearing cage expands which gives more room for the balls to move around and in the winter they get smaller which makes them slow down alot lol.
