french ID compression sucks!

The compression I bought cracked.. again :/ I was trying for hours to get the starnut into my bars. And when I finally did it, and tried to tight on my bars to the fork, the starnut were just slighting down to the fork without tightining. Then I wanted the starnut out, cause it was obviously not doing anything. Then I was trying to get it out, with the threaded insert - tightening it hard, so the starnut would slight out. But then it cracked. I hate that compression system, and now I have a wee bar with a starnut in it, and a French ID fork I can't use! What do I doo!

ive changed it onto 3 differnt decks so far n i had no problems n ive been filming likke fuckin mad dude. i didnt read your post because i knew it was gonna be lamo's. not hatting dude just sayinn

That means you suck, not the fork if other people can do it then you should be able to as well.

If you can't put the starnut in right goto a bikeshop and have them do it for you.

you shouldn't have used FID compression in the first place. inverted seems to be better.

french ID is inverted.

i use an SR compression bolt with my fork tho. so much less of a hassle.

if you struggled to get the starnut in do much, the size was probably 1 1/2", some of them are like that, so was mine.

I got a inverted compression with my french Id and it loosens up after 2 minutes of riding. and I've tried 3 starnut aready.

Lol, They really need a new name for their compression, all internal/inverted compression is hidden.
