French ID Forks and Brass knuckle compressions system.

I have slayer bars from scooter resource, and a Fsa Pig DH Pro Sealed Headset Threadless and I really want to buy a FRENCH ID fork. I hae no idea how compression systems work but all I am wondering is how it works and if I get a FRENCH ID Fork and the PROTO - Brass Knuckles will that make my scooter good or will I need something else to make it work.

It'll work fine. The only thing you'll have to do is go to a bike shop and have them put a star nut in your forks, then put the everything together with the Brass Knuckles and you'll be good.

FR id forks are too long tho. so you might needa use a headset spacer. ill let you know when i get my scs.. which i ordered a while ago

Yeah, if that's the case then pick up however many headset spacers you need for it to work from a bike shop and throw 'em under the Knuckles.

OR just cut the steer tube down a little bit. Then you won't have to worry about spacers.

So lets say I have PROTO - Brass Knuckle and a french ID fork... I have no idea how to set up a compressions system but will a bike shop do it for me?
