Personally id trust wees more just because Im scared of aluminum.
I absolutely agree with you. Strenght VS light-weight.

1) Chromoly bars are still relatively light and they are stronger than anything, so you can abuse them.
2) FrenchID's have .125 wall and they are even lighter (~25-35%) than ALL chromoly bars, but not as strong as chromoly.

It's all about preference, which is why i'm offering both.

Dont get me wrong, the Frenchid bars are some of the best out there, but no matter what aluminum is way more unpredictable than steel (which is what scares me) and it usually doesnt last as long as chromoly because it fatigues at such a faster rate. It is way more likely to snap without warning whereas chromoly would bend or start a small crack that will slowly grow. Plus chromoly is already light enough for me.
Im not baggin on frenchid, theyre one of the top companies right now with some of the best parts and have the such an awesome team. They know what they are doing, and Madis is right, there deffinetly IS a market for aluminum bars, some people really do care about weight that much. I just always hear everyone say how much lighter and stronger aluminum is when really they dont know what they are talking about. Strenght is measured in many different ways with metals...

i don't see the point in powdercoating aluminium?
other than to waste money, when are they gonna give the cheaper option of raw?
