"Friends"

When you think about a friend, you'd probably see someone you hang around with most days/weekends and just do stuff with, share inside jokes and the likes.
But has anyone ever stopped to think about how much your friends actually impact your life?
Think about, for example, the guy who got you into scooters, if you didn't know him, weren't his 'friend' you wouldn't be riding, think about the people at school most probably in your clique, if you didn't know them you'd be on a COMPLETELY different path, doing different things, leading a different life.
So if you think about it, the friends you lose, gain and brush off as a bad joke, you would, or wouldn't be doing certain things, you would or wouldn't have smoked that joint that killed you, you would or wouldn't take up painting, and become a multimillionaire.

This was just a thought that came to mind when i was at a party the other night..
I pretty much didn't fit in, there was 3 of us that weren't drunk or stoned or both.. And i thought, if i had befriended these people, this is what i'd be, this would be my life...

Share your opinion if you wish.

i think about this all the time
in australia i kinda used to be the guy who rides scooters every weekend now i go clubbing almost every weekend and i hardly ever ride anymore
i also gotta say that scooter riding isnt the most social sport in the world.
i can safely say that i used to be abit of an antisocial person before i went to clubs and parties.
but i like the life im living now.

Lol deep convo.
Anyways yeah friends are a big part of life. Ever heard someone say "What would I do without you?" You can sorta make this out into different things, but what i see it as that without friends there would be no point in living.
Your soical life takes up a hell of a lot of your lifetime, I mean what else would you do? Apart from riding, cause riding is kinda part of your social life.

Haha, i once traced back this thing. And if my brother didn't have Tourette syndrome, I wouldn't have broken my jaw. True shit. It goes through like 12 people.

LOL, that was great.

i think that the influence and consequences of being friends with someone really depends on whether you believe in destiny or not.

k-8 i had just a few friends, we were complete nerds and super unpopular and everything. because of that i never had any confidence, and never really had any guts you could say. sometimes that is still an issue for me (for example i never do big stuff in scootering). things like that. when i got into high school i still kept those friends but began to branch out a little and gained some confidence. then i got a chance to start over when i switched high schools after sophmore year. i became friends with all the crazy band kids haha, got a gf after like a month. but what really happened that impacted me was meeting my best friend heather. words can't describe how close we are, and how much i love her. we've both changed each other quite a bit i'd say, for the better, and we still have a lot of growing to do. i have no idea where i'd be without her, she has made such an incredible mark on my life.

I own SR.
Every person you have ever met has shaped your life in some way even if only for a moment so it is ridiculous to think that the people you associate yourself with do not influence you. As you get older and you figure out more about life and the direction you want to take yours in you have to make decisions to drop old friends and acquaintances who do not have the same goals in life as you do and replace them with people who will influence you to achieve your goals. Just because you grew up with someone does not mean you were meant to be BFF. Choosing your friends should be a conscious effort to better yourself and your life.

If i had never gone to america i would not have gotten into riding and not met all of the wonderful people that ride. i realy love all of the people ive met who i ride with, at school i dont realy get along with the other kids but the people i hang out with are nice and cool.
