front brake

i have seen the scooter brake on SR, but i want something that uses a real 100mm wheel, not a ripstick 70mm wheel.

I saw this guy riding this Razor Powerwing at the skatepark, and it seems to have the right brake design:

it comes with a 125mm fork, but it is a 1" fork, not 1 1/8"... i am almost positive, me and david miles checked it out to see if the 1pc bars would work on our scooters...

so does anyone have a how to make a front brake that will work like this?

thanks in advance

The diameter of the fork doesn't matter at all. It has nothing to do with what wheel fits in. So it should be the same set-up on the actually fork part. You could probably just study it and mount it on your fork the same. Thread the cable p trough you bars and you have a brake. I also think that when you measure the fork, its going to be small, since it fits INTO a 1 1/8 headset. Not sure about that, but I also think they just call it a 1 1/8 fork just to let you know it fits in the 1 1/8 headset. Or this is opposite, the fork is the size measured and the headset is a size bigger. Its just an idea, but I know they can't be the same size, or else they wont fit.

but i was thinking that my bars won't fit/ the headset will break from akward & uneven pressure points

first of all sorry for the bump.

handbrakes do work with 100mm wheels on scoots, you just need the right peices.

the front wheel handbrake system i made does work very well, and it will work with 100mm wheels. it is completly whipable, but again, you will find it difficult to do certain tricks with it scooterflips mainly (unless you have a shorter hand brake)

i just use it to mess around on.
