FSA PIG headset question

what is the difference between unsealed and sealed and which one out of the two should i get

seald arent as fast as unsealed but are smoother easier to maintain and last longer than unsealed if u can afford an sealed headset get one otherwise get a unsealed one

Sealed are cartridge bearings that are somewhat like what you would put in your wheels, just they are constructed differently. They are all contained in themselves. Unsealed is like what you have in your stock headset, cadged bearings. Sealed bearings are way smother, but will spin slower. Unsealed will spin way faster, but arent as smooth. Its all personal prefrence really...

Sealed on the top, unsealed on the bottom.

How do you break an unsealed headset? All you can do is bend the race, which is replaceable for like 3 bucks, or bend the bearings/loose balls which are replaceable for cheap...

yeah that is what i am talking about. but he messed up the bearings and race in like 3 days.

I've heard that a DH Pro with Cartridge bearing in is extremely smooth and fast!

they are extreamely smooth but they arent that fast. unsealed headsets are faster.

iv bin riding my unseeled one for 2.5 years almost and its still fine..is the race or bearings break i just put stock ones in and the wotrk fine//
