fuzions are just like fuzions i cant bash them caus eill get intouble but like if you go on the fuzion forum the kids ar esuch n00bs not all but the majority and idk it makes me mad cause they go to sixflags and have demos and commercials on cable makes me wonder if any company for kick scooters would do that

i agree 100% about deserving more than fuzions but u gotta think bout it skating didnt have comercials neither did bmx...we dont need gay little park commercials that all they show is whips and flips and bris...and plus we have a bunch of companys now and fuzions is the only one so theyll probably just end up just like razor in a few months/years and fuzions probably wont ever be as big as skating and bmxing etc.....the extreme sports now adays inspire/motivates/excites people in the stands do you really think fuzions can do that? i dont not at all and even though they have commercials i havent really seen any kids riding fuzions at any park ive been to in a while and neither have any of my friends

See this is what bothers me too.
To me Fuzion's are skateboard's with handlebars. They're fun for the kid with down syndrome who likes to ride but can't balance but other then that they're kinda silly to me.
Scooters on the other hand like Micro's and Razor's are a sort of hybrid bike and skateboard, but they're distinctive enough with their own blend of style so that no one associates them with either really.
From this perspective it would seem that scooters should get more advertising and such. They both get advertising but Razor does theirs wrong. Fuzion does theirs right but the thing is...the product...it's just a skateboard with handlebars...
So yeah. Fuzion's aren't going anywhere no matter how they advertise. But scooters can.
Now how do you do this? Take everything Razor has done (Minus the creation of the Pro Model and Razor Pro Team) and do it the opposite. If you go to Wal Mart and look at the photo's on the boxes what do you see? You will see a 6 year old in full gear going off a kicker ramp or some shit. That's it. That's the hardcore advertising we get. Because this corporate giant aims it target audience at a younger generation rather then per se...US, we get the rep that scooters are for little children and can never be anything big. You ever see an add for Zero Skateboards with a five year hold jumping off a kicker in full gear. No. Why? Because it only targets a small audience. Young children.
I think personally if we took that little 6 year old kid off those boxes. If we replaced it with Brian Murphy doing a flair over a spine or a picture of Hep Greg doing a Front Scooterflip down a 9 stair or Brandon Kilbury doing a railslide down a handrail in some ghetto area then scooters would not be gay anymore. Even if you still couldn't buy Pro's in Wal Mart. Scooters wouldn't have such a "child like" representation among other people. With just this one small step in changing imagery on the boxes you not only open the product up to a wider range of people but the people who do do it good get even more attention. With it getting more mainstream and more popular scooters will get notices by other companies and then the flow just takes it from there.
Images on the boxes would just be the first step. From there you make some video's like the ones Razor inserts into its pro model boxes but have the riders on the video appeal to a wider range of kids too.
The thing is though, Razor has made a shit load of money off the the products. They're still making money off it from little kids. Why change the target audience? Why tamper with a good thing. They don't want to.
*Sigh* Sometimes I just wish I could organize a big jam session right in front of the Razor Scooters building and go talk to them about their ads and such...I think I and everyone else on this site could make a big difference in the ways scooters are perceived if we could just talk to the head giants. I really think together we could change it all.

i really dislike fuzions i think they are a mockery of scooters (a gimmick) now if your good on it fine i wont give you any lip, you like what you like i wouldn't try to take that from anyone like people try to do to me for choosing the scooter and not the bike, but that is my opinion
i believe that when proto's decks and such drop then i think the flood gates will open
for the real side of scooter riding to appear in peoples faces

I know so many people who have come up to me and have said... "i thought scooters were so gay, until i saw you on your scooter and then went online and checked out some of the amazing riders like Brandon Kilbury, Coedie Donovan, or Brian Murphy!" People make so many jokes because of these little kids on them.. But like Nick Donatelli said, there were no advertisements for skateboarding or bmx. All we gotta do is keep posting vids and more people at older ages will want to try and scooter. And Kyper had a huge point.. Razor will not change something that is making them huge money. Just think for everybody who had paid around 50bucks for each pro model they've bought.. you've probably spent more then you thought. and just think of all the rest of people who have done that. So much money made to razor...

I got myself banned.
Razor is a company in the industry for the money. They sorta try to help the sport with team razor, RVM, and they used to do them demos, but they haven't been doing shit lately.
