Gah, stupid folding mech!

Ok so recently I bolted my folding mech, One bolt behind the stem, and 2 in the holes like I was supposed to. Then I tightened all three of the bolts as far as I possibly could, but it still moves about a half inch when alot of pressure is applied. So I put a penny behind the press pin and tightened that as much as I could too and it still moves. Ugh.

Can I get a lil' help with what might be wrong?

Ok hang on.

The part that's bolted on moves about 2-3 centimeters so it's really not noticeable unless you're riding it.

Ahh, there just axles yeah? Pretty sure you need thicker bolts. Just take your scoot down to a hardware store and put bolts in till you find the ones that fit ultra snug haha. I think thats the problem anyway..

Uhhh in the last picture , I can see all the bolts easily so I can sort of tell you what to do based on that.

It looks like a triangle aye? The bottom bolt , perfecto size. Same for the top right bolt. The top left bolt , is too small. I think MAYBE it is smaller by 2mm. Go to a hardware store and try all the bolts on that. Oh and at the end of your bolt , you might want to put 2 nuts so that you won't have to worry of the bolt loosening up.

Good luck! Those wheels are nice by the way. Slow and steady wins the race lmao.

Hey un bolt that little piece in the front of your foldy..it will put alot of unneeded stress on your foldy when you tighten it down with bolts...it keeps the foldy from pinching down all the way.

One thing I did that some other people do is but the big bolt behind the headtube and put a normal sized bolt in the normal foldy slot, it makes your scooter have a steeper headtube angle and it tends to be more solid. At least it was for me.
