17, still got mine.
In Australia doctors won't take them out unless you get tonsillitis 4-5 times a year. Tonsils are actually a fairly major part in your immune system.

i got mine taken out when i was 3 due to chronic tonsilitis.

i had mine taken out becuase i got tounsilitis at least ounce a month and the doc said it hurts worse when ur older and get them out becuase they are much larger

got mine out like before kindergarten. was a pretty good deal, got to eat a lot of ice cream and sit in bed all day.

they wont give you ice cream now your not alowed to have any dairy for a week after the surgery pretty much all you can eat is jello and soup
