Ghetto Compression System?

So my bars are annoying the --- outta me. They always come loose. Even when i loctited 2 lock nuts on there. Soooo, i came up with a new idea.

I ride stock bars and forks (at least until Christmas), and the part where the bars go from 1 1/4" to 1 1/8" fits the starnut that came with my FSA Pig. I was thinking that i could install that starnut, and find a long fully threaded rod at a hardware store, as well as a washer to cover the opening of my forks and to tighten the rod into.
Sound like a good idea? Ask if your confused haha
