if your asking how to work a gl1 please take my advice.. DO NOT GET A DVX!!!!!!! I had one before. it was so complicated to use if you dont understand most of the scene files and stuff. i would save up for a vx1000, vx2000, or vx2100 because they are great beginner cameras. ok but if you decide to keep the gl1 i recomend getting the rode videomic because the gl1 has horrible sound quality.
So to use the gl1 I would put the little dial that has the little tv and the m and all that to "m" for manual. then set the shutter speed at 120.... then set the aperature or iris (not sure on gl1's) until your picture looks properly exposed. also just put the white balance to the sun on outdoors.. the lightbulb on indoors for easiest way to get good colors because i dont think gl1s have scene files or custom presets.
